Privacy Policy

Overview

Calculator Hub ("we", "our", or "the app") is a mobile calculator application available on iOS and Android. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our app.

Data Stored on Your Device

All app data is stored locally on your device using the device's local storage. This includes:

• Your favourite calculators (a list of calculator IDs)
• Saved calculation scenarios and their names
• App theme preference (light / dark)
• Language preference
• Subscription status and install date (for Early Adopter eligibility)
• Demo access start time (stored in two keys for tamper protection)
• Whether you have completed onboarding

None of this data is transmitted to our servers. It lives entirely on your device and can be cleared at any time by deleting the app.

Firebase (Google)

We use Firebase services provided by Google LLC:

• Firebase Remote Config — used to deliver dynamic configuration to the app (such as pricing, PRO calculator list, promotional banners) without requiring an app update. Remote Config does not collect personal data.
• Firebase Analytics (if enabled) — collects anonymised usage events such as screen views and feature interactions. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you personally.

Firebase data is processed by Google LLC in accordance with their Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Analytics data collection through your device's advertising settings.

Subscriptions & Payments

Payments are processed by Apple (iOS) or Google (Android) through their native In-App Purchase systems. We do not receive or store your payment card details — Apple and Google handle all billing directly.

We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID generated by the device to verify your purchase status. No name, email address, or payment details are shared with RevenueCat. Their privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.

AI Assistant

The app includes an AI-powered assistant for answering calculation questions. When you use the AI Assistant, your message is securely transmitted to our Cloudflare Worker proxy, which forwards it to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a response.

• Only the text of your question is sent — no personal identifiers are included
• Conversations are not stored on our servers or by Anthropic beyond the scope of a single request
• Anthropic's data handling is governed by their Privacy Policy
• Do not include sensitive personal information (SSN, card numbers, passwords) in AI queries

Local Notifications

The app may request permission to send local notifications to your device. These are used for:

• Trial period expiry reminders
• Weekly calculator tips and feature highlights
• Subscription renewal reminders

All notifications are scheduled entirely on your device and do not involve our servers — no data is transmitted to generate them. You can disable notifications at any time in your device Settings.

What We Do NOT Collect

We want to be clear about what we do not do:

• We do not require account registration or email address
• We do not collect your name, phone number, or location
• We do not track you across other apps or websites
• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers
• We do not display third-party advertisements
• We do not access your contacts, camera, microphone, or photos (unless you explicitly use a share/screenshot feature)

Children's Privacy

Calculator Hub is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

Data Deletion

Since all app data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it at any time by uninstalling the app. There is no data on our servers to request deletion of.

For subscription records managed by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat, please refer to their respective data deletion policies or contact them directly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
